Day 1Welcome onboard MagicBus !

We’ll all meet at 11am at the Bordeaux train station and off we go for the adventure!

Let’s go to the Château de Léognan, in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, for a short course on the basics of wine tasting. Just to get us ready for the weekend!

This day will end along the Dordogne river, for a well deserved sunset!

Day 2Picnic in the vineyards & Escape Game 🕵️‍♀️

First morning on board MagicBus, and first breakfast on the roof terrace!

We will then head for Chateau de l’Evêché, in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation. This château is run by Claire and her mother, whose story is very touching (but I’ll let you discover it on the spot).  After a visit of the place and an excellent tasting, we will go for a picnic in the vineyards, with a good bottle of their wine of course!

We will then go to Anne’s, at Chateau Lapelletrie in the Saint-Emilion appellation. Anne grows her grapes in a very special place as there is a huge quarry under her land. She uses it to store her wines, just like her ancestors did, and will show us around in the form of an escape game!

We will end the day with a commented tasting of the wines of Chateau Lapelletrie. We will then sleep, directly in the middle of the Chateau’s vineyards.

Day 3Organic and old-fashioned farming.

This third day will start with the famous Sunday brunch (but a day earlier 😅 ) in the magnificent setting of the Saint-Emilion vineyards.

Then we will head to the Côtes-de-Blaye region, to meet Corrine at Chateau Bel-Air-La-Royère. Her boundless creativity and the human size of her vineyard, allows her to explore different ways of cultivating (with old machines and old techniques for example) and even to replant forgotten grape varieties. She will make us discover her techniques, her world and will make us taste the result. An original visit full of positivism that you won’t forget!

After this visit, we will leave the bus at Corrine’s to go down to the Guinguette of the village. We will eat there, with festive music in the background and a nice sunset!

Day 4The highlight of the show: the Margaux!

We have reserved a treasure for you for this last day: the Chateau Lamothe Bergeron. For this last visit we change scale: a princess chateau, a sound and light installation in the cellars, and above all a well-deserved champêtre lunch!

After this “bouquet final”, we’ll have a walk in the surroundings before going back to the Bordeaux train station for 5pm.

Immigration & Covid (TO READ)

Before the trip.

It is your duty to check that you meet the immigration requirements to enter the Italian territory. If you have any questions or doubts, do not hesitate to write to us:

On arrival, we will also ask you to sign a paper stating that you have not had any symptoms or been in contact with anyone positive for Covid in the last 7 days before boarding.

We have put in place all the necessary security measures to maintain a safe environment for everyone. The bus will be fully cleaned between each stay to government recommended hygiene standards so that you can enjoy the experience safely.

As the distance is more complicated to manage in our case, we nevertheless arranged the beds head to toe, posted the sanitary requirements on board, provided hydro-alcoholic gel at the entrance and inside the accommodation. The bus is also well ventilated and all sheets, dishes and household linen will be washed between each stay.

In case of cancellation.

In these uncertain times, if you are forced to cancel your stay for reasons related to the COVID 19 outbreak (because you are a contact case or have tested covid positive), you will receive a credit note for the amount of the booking, to be used within 24 months of the original booking date. If we are forced to cancel our trips, you will be refunded without penalty.

What is cancellation policy?

We make our organization as flexible as possible in terms of cancellations. We realize that it’s hard to accept that we can’t leave and that it’s even worse when you can’t get your registration fee back.

That’s why we encourage everyone to take out cancellation insurance at registration. It’s not expensive, and you can save a lot of money. This cancellation insurance often comes with the travel insurance (for accidents during the stay) and is insured by Chapka Assurance.

1. Replacement

You can’t come anymore, but have you found someone who’d like to go in your place? Great! It’s possible to get a replacement without cancellation insurance.

You must mention your replacement at least 7 working days before departure. You can call us or send us an e-mail via

How’s it going?

We will ask you to provide us with the contact information of your replacement. Then you will only have to work out the financial aspect with him/her: it is up to you to organize the reimbursement of the stay with the person who replaces you.

1. Cancellation

Can’t find a replacement? Depending on the time of your cancellation, we may refund a portion of your payment. For the rest, if you have taken out cancellation insurance, ask your insurance company about the conditions of reimbursement.

Here are the cancellation terms that apply to us:

  • >= 4 weeks before departure : 70% of the total amount of booking refunded
  • 2 to 4 weeks before departure : 50% of the total amount of booking refunded
  • less than 2 weeks before departure : 0% of the total amount of booking refunded

Of course, there is a special cancellation policy for Covid. Please read the next question to know more.

Which currency is needed on this trip?

– Austria – Euro (EUR)
– France – Euro (EUR)
– Germany – Euro (EUR)
– Italy – Euro (EUR)
– Netherlands – Euro (EUR)
– Switzerland – Swiss franc (CHF)

How am I supposed to join the bus?

Your ticket does not includes transportation to the bus departure location, nor transportation home from MagicBus drop off location. So you have to manage these transportations on your own, as long as you are at the departure point on time. But no worries, it is easy to find multi-destination flights (for example on skyscanner).

I'm a solo traveller, is that ok?

Of course it is! You’re more than welcome on board. MagicBus is the perfect place to meet people from all over the world.

We're a group of 6 to 8 people, could we privatize the bus for this trip?

Yes ! If you want to privatize the bus for your group of friends, or your family, it is possible (as long as no reservation has been made). To do so, you just have to write me directly by mail :
